Gotta Get Kraken!
Have you ever been in limbo and not been 100% sure where you are going or what exactly you're supposed to be doing? Welcome to 2020! This year has been a journey of self discovery and really defining what it is I do as an artist on the Gold Coast. After so many opinions on what I "should do" with my new found pyrography skill, I came to the conclusion that I should just start creating what I want to create and get my artistry out there for other eyes to see. Seems a bit obvious doesn't it? I came full circle to the cliche "do what you love, love what you do" idea. Time was spent on refining the technique, figuring out style, and narrowing down what message can be shown in my pyrography pieces. There is so much clarity that comes with focusing on what drives you and listening to yourself (honestly, I highly recommend just going with your gut). Go home, make a list of things you love, want to do, how you want to spend your time, and just start implementing those things one by one. Things tend to unfold the way you want them to once you adjust your focus and your priorities. My biggest to-do right now is to finish my Kraken project. This is my favourite piece so far and I've got a few others planned as well. Stay tuned and happy Saturday!
